Proper Riding Attire:

Here at Hillside Stable safety is our number one priority. We require all riders, regardless of age or riding discipline to wear a astm/sei certified horseback riding helmet. We offer helmets in assorted sizes for our new riders to borrow during their lesson. Hillside also requires that riders wear a boot with a heel. This helps prevent the foot from sliding to far through the stirrup. No sneakers, flip flops or sandals allowed while riding. All riders should wear long pants. Jeans, jodphurs or riding breeches work well. Riding gloves are optional, but may help prevent rubs from the reins.
